Joel B. Thornton serves as the associate dean for collections and scholarly communication for the J. Willard Marriott Library. His most recent roles include serving as director of research and instruction services and interim associate dean of research and learning at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Prior to that, Thornton served at Texas A&M University. His most recent research focuses on research integrity, academic journal pricing transparency, open access, and library leadership.
