James Simon


James Simon is assistant director of collections and discovery at Davidson College Library, where he provides leadership in the strategic development and management of the Library’s collections and the systems that provide access to them. Previously he served as director of collections and partnerships at the Center for Research Libraries (CRL), leading content strategies and fostering collaborative initiatives within the academic library community. A seasoned professional with a rich background in cooperative collection development, James is driven by a commitment to equity, collaboration, and innovation in advancing research and scholarly endeavors.
