Rod Cookson


Rod Cookson is publishing director of The Royal Society, the UK’s national academy for science. He previously ran IWA Publishing, one of the first learned society publishers to completely transition its journals to open access, and before that oversaw the medical, bioscience, and environmental science journal program of Taylor & Francis. He has been a director of Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA) and of Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP), and a Council Member of the Society Publishers’ Coalition.
