Geoffrey Stewart Boulton


Geoffrey Boulton is Regius Professor of Geology Emeritus at Edinburgh University. He has made major contributions to glaciology, with many awards for his work. He is a fellow of the Royal Society and the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Scotland’s national academy. He has worked in science policy, having been a member of the UK Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology. He is a member of the Governing Board of the International Science Council and chairs its work on scientific publishing.
